Skin tutorial: photoshop touch-up

 Skin tutorial: Photoshop touch-up

In class today, we learnt how to make an image look better in photoshop. We took an image of a girl from an online source, downloaded it and opened it on photoshop.

The first thing I had to do was use the spot healing brush tool. I used this to clear her blemishes and pimples off her face. From this, the women's face on the image started to look much clearer. When using the spot healing brush I was able to increase or decrease the brush size by using shift, squiggly square bracket, using either the left to decrease and the right to increase the size.

My next step was to duplicate the layer. I did this by going to the menu bar, clicking layer then duplicate layer. I needed to make a duplicate layer to add the smart blur filter. I processed this by clicking filter, blur then smart blur. The outcome of this looked very fuzzy, however, I hadn't completed the whole process.

I then needed to add a layer mask so I could erase the areas that didn't need smoothing out such as the hair, nostrils, eyebrows, eyes, mouth and teeth. This method was done by using the paintbrush tool and making sure the colour was black.

The outcome looked very similar to what I have seen in beauty and fashion magazines, such as Vogue.

My Poster Proposal

Amber Garland Poster Proposal

The working title I have chosen to create is a Hybrid genre romance/sad film.
The medium I shall be producing is going to be a print poster in a portrait fashion. I have chosen to do a poster because they are one of the most popular forms of advertisement.
The intended audience will be people aged 15+. This is because there may be scenes not suitable for younger ages.
The indicated style is light, fluffy, simple and also bright. This is to show that it will be a fluffy romance, but it may also show an element of sadness.
The summary of the content entails a Title, a tagline, and image, a background and a credit bar.

The size of the poster I am creating is going to be in various sizes like A3, A2 and A4. So that the poster can be hung on large walls, on lamp posts and in Adshells.

Self Portrait

In My Media class i was told to create a self portrait on Adobe Illustrator. Firstly I had to take a picture of myself on Photo Booth.
Afterwards I opened up Adobe Illustrator and created a new document. I place my photograph onto illustrator and began using a tool called the Pen Tool.

This is the pen tool. it is used to create a small line. you place a point on what you want to go around and then you can press a point and move the mouse to bend the line into the way you'd like it.

This is what the pen tool does. The blue line around the drawing is the pen tools net.

This tool is used to add colour, gradient and even give no fill. I used this tool to add colour detail onto my self portrait.

This was my finished product. My illustrated self portrait. I look very similar to my original photo.
